Our April meeting was sponsored by A Material Girl, an online shop based in Milton Ontario. She offered our members a discount code for the week following the meeting, and I know I for one had to indulge in some of her lovely fabrics!
As a guild we sponsor the West Niagara Agricultural Society’s Fair in September by donating money for several prizes in the homecraft division. Follow this link https://www.westniagarafair.ca/site/homecraft-prizebook to take a look at their prize book for entry requirements of projects you have made or can plan to make and enter into the fair. Many requirements are set by the Ontario Agricultural Society and some by our local society, so pay attention to the details to make sure your entries fit the category requirements.
Spring is also quilt show season, and you can find out about local shows on our website. I recently enjoyed a road trip with a friend to see a show; it was time well spent and I hope you can find time and opportunity to do the same.
We look forward to our May meeting on the 21st, when we will begin with our Annual General Meeting and then move on to the UFO challenge results!!! Each participant will receive a ticket for each finished project… and 8 tickets will be drawn to win prizes!!!
In June we will see the results of our Block of the Month and President’s Challenge.
Guests are welcome to join us for an evening for a $10 fee, and we always look forward to growing our membership each month!
